Conscious Parenting Mentor

Pashwa didi, aged 54, currently lives near Auroville. She studied and later taught at a few J. Krishnamurti Schools in India and the UK. She also worked at a progressive school in England while writing her thesis on education. Since then she has been deeply interested in exploring questions such as: What would a truly meaningful education look like? What is the role of educators and parents? How can we raise children without force, rewards, or punishments, but instead through nurturing relationships built on trust, respect, kindness, and guidance?

She has read widely across philosophies, books on education, accounts of traditional cultures and tribes, psychology, healing, and various proposals for alternative systems and ways of living. Together with her husband, she raised two boys (now aged 19 and 20) without sending them to school, instead attempting to educate them through life itself—daily activities, play, time in nature, questions, conversations, and diverse relationships.

She offers conscious parenting support to parents and is currently studying Madhyasth Darshan, a philosophy she finds offers compelling answers to the existential questions she has long explored. She has volunteered on the land, participated in upcycling projects, and co-hosted an annual craft week event for children as part of a team. Alternative health, yoga, simple living, nature, community living, and healthy relationships are among the other areas that draw her deeply.

Our Philosophy

✧ Education as a Gift ✧

We believe that true learning happens when knowledge is shared freely, not as a commodity. This is why none of our facilitators or organizers take any honorarium or travel reimbursement. The fellowship is sustained by those who believe in the work and contribute what they can, when they can.

We invite participants and supporters to see this not as a transaction, but as a shared journey toward a more humane, purposeful world.
